A vista is a big scenic view: presumably Microsoft thinks it'll be giving us the 'big picture' by calling its soon-to-be-launched operating system Vista... :\ Somehow, I think the real 'big picture' is the one MS will be getting of all their users through the devices they've installed to collect data through Vista. :(

Vista is an overblown, memory hogging operating system that is supposedly the next best thing.
Vista is also the most paranoid operating system M$ has ever put out. Vista calls home to M$ everytime you turn on your computer to report on any changes to your computer.

It's Microsoft's new Operating System (like XP is an operating system).
As yet there aren't many drivers etc to go with it and it'll be a bit bug-ridden for a while, so I personally won't be considering getting it for quite a time
