I used to use Natrel, then dove and now am using Sure pink. After a while of using a particular brand, they seem to stop working. Have any of you ever had the same problem and what one would you recommend I try next? I'm not a sweaty person but would like one that keeps me fresh all day if that's possible. Oh and before any of you say it, I DO shower every morning!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I'm really looking for brands available in the UK.

Driclor - its a Aluminium chloride deoderant that you apply at night then wash off in the morning. It works by blocking the sweat glands - great stuff.

Hello, I've been using Dove clear for years now and it has worked wonders.
However keep in mind that everybody had a different body chemistry and what works for one may not work for the other.
I have a at home treatment that you can do to help you out. See maybe you have some kind of bacteria in you armpits or your clothes that makes the smell come back. (it doesn't mean that you are a dirty person, but you may have picked it up one time and those bacterias don't die with just water and soap).
So, here is what you can do. When you take a shower, take with you baking soda and lemon juice. The first thing you do in the shower is wet your armpits and then apply a generous amount of the baking soda and lemon mixture. live it on for the time you shower and then wash it of. Make sure you get all of it off. You may or may not see your skin darken in the area and that is normal, it will go away. Do so everyday for about a week and see what happens. And then is a good habit to have once a month or so as needed. Then, when you do your laundry, do the same thing to the underarm of your shirts. Specially the ones you wear more often. That will kill the bacteria that is causing the bad smells and also whiten your Whites without damaging your colours. I have done this many times and it works great.
I hope my advise helps you.

I found a wonderful deodorant cream online and it really works. I was sceptical at first, but now I wouldn't use anything else. The product is called Lavilin Underarm Deodorant Cream. It is a natural formula and works anywhere from 3-7 days with only one small application. It smells nice, not overwhelming or herbally. Even showering and washing the underarms doesn't effect it. It's really a great product without all the chemicals.

Nivea anti perspirant deodorant SPRAY really works. You dont wanna use anything like the liquid or gel form because it's sticky and they don't work at keeping your underarm dry.they don't block your sweat pores very well too. The sprays work well.

To be honest I tend to have the same trouble but it can't be a bad thing to vary what you use . However i have found some good ones that really work. Tesco Sprays for a fabulous 59p are good, got the mens one at the moment but the smell is very subtle so you wouldn't really know it was supposed to be for men, Arrid sprays are also good.

Secret works for me. But the trick is to test one brand for a while. If you keep switching brands none of them will work. The only bad thing is can take a while to adjust to your body though.

I completely agree with you on this one about them stopping working! At the moment I'm using Dove spray - although I'm sure soon it will stop working and I'll start smelling!!!

forget deodorants they mask smells and anti perspirants bloke skin pores and are unhealthy. try a deodorant stone/crystal. you will still perspire but there will be no smell as the agents in the stone kill the bacteria that cause the smell

Dove works absolute miracles and I swear by it. It also smells really feminine. but lately, it hasn't been working as well. I think my body chemicals have changed or something.

Now I go with Secret Platinum with Olay.
