They are calcium deposits that are nothing to worry about. Your body/bones dont use all the calcium you take in so it has no place to put it except deposit it on your nails.
Sometimes marks can mean that you are not getting enough of a certain vitamin. If you drink lots of milk then its calcium deposits. If you have recently changed your diet and you started getting them then you may be lacking a certain vitamin/mineral.
