Crushing noobs online. Holding the top spot in Counter Strike even while playing drunk. Being able to rally your team in the midst of defeat, turn the tables, and lead your troops to a brilliant come from behind victory.
Being able to turn, aim, and put a bullet through the head of some nooblet at 90 virtual yards in teh blink of an eye and then be accused of hacking.
That's a true gamer.

If you looked it up in the dictionary you would find my husband. He goes to work, comes home, takes a shower, and gets on the computer, buy now it's about 5 o' clock, and he will stay on that game till about 2 am. the only time he moves is when he has to pee. and on the weekends he plays from 10 am to 4 am

I've been an avid gamer since Atari 2600. To me, it would be to be capable to adapt to any type of game (genre) play it well, search for all secrets/codes (based on what you know or have learned from previous games without using cheats) & last, learn about the systems, manufacturers & production companies.

no, a gamer is someone whoe plays games more then normal, also they are proud of the fact that they can play better then other gamers. what you described is obsessive, i know someone who is always playin games to the point where he wont eat sleep and wash...
I avoid talking to him unless he has a realy good game (or a bath)
