Well I had a friend with benefits but not anymore because my close friend ratted out on me to him.

She's both my friend and his friend(she's engaged but has sexual encounters with him and has feelings for him).

Well my former friend with Benefits told me not to tell her, I didn't know what he was talking about so I told her anyway because I was concerned about something.

I confided in her a year ago about what happened to me two summers ago(Oh it was pretty bad!) So now I'm ticked off at her and my friend with benefits won't screw me just because I told her.

You see this guy is only out there for sex so I was just using him for pleasure the same way he was using me.

So how do I gain back his trust?

Why do you need to gain his trust back, if he is a friend with benefits, then there are no strings attached, ... ... ...

When trust is lost, it takes two things to gain it back. 1) Consistency of behavior and 2) Time. When you have demonstrated to him over time that you can be trusted, then he may gradually begin to trust you again. There are no guarantees. Some people will never overcome their wariness once trust has been compromized.

Remember that you cannot control him, you can only be responsible for your own actions. If you act in an honorable way toward all people (not just him) you'll feel better about yourself too.

If you want him to trust you then you need to sit down with him and tell him the truth, one on one. Whatever you do don't talk bad about your other friend because that will actually make you look bad. You need to tell him why you confided in her and that's all (she doesn't sound like that great of a friend to me if she is supposed to be getting married).

You will gain his trust back, but don't expect sex he may not want to put out after this drama.

If you were just using him for your personal pleasure, why would it matter if he trusts you now or not. Move on to the next guy. It's your fault that he doesn't trust you. That's some girls problems these days, you talk too much. He told you not to say anything to her, and that's what you should have done. If I were him I would have dropped you two. The whole purpose of FWB is to have something on the side that "NO ONE" else knows about. Sounds to me like you liked him more than that, but it's too late for you now.

You don't a "friends with benefits" is not a friend it is someone you are using, and they are using you, it is a mutual agreement. They are not a confident, nor someone you share secrets with, If you want the level of trust, that is more of a commitment.

Is it the friendship and trust you want back........or the pleasure?

Don't worry about the small stuff. Just keep the line of conversation open and he come back to us soon or later.

Find yourself another friend with benefits, and this time keep your mouth shut.
