Okay i was on the pill for a few years and last month i stopped taking it. I had my period right around christmas and everything was fine. My husband ans I only had sex once unprotected around the 10th or so. I still haven't had my period yet though. I took a test 3 days ago and it came up negative. I have been cramping like i would when i am getting ready to have my period but nothing comes. I have no other symptoms really , no breast soreness or anything like that. My friends say that is most likely just my body getting used to not takin the pill anymore. I have never missed a period once.

Could i be pregnant?

I hate to tell you, but um....YOU'RE PREGNANT! Stop denying it. You'll be the first one in the office to get pregnant. J/K. On a serious note, you're not pregnant, and if you're really in doubt go to the Health Department and get a blood test done. Like I, the friend, said you're coming down from the pill, it's rare to get pregnant during that time. Even if you do get pregnant, you'll likely miscarry without knowing because your body isn't back to "normal" yet.

If the tests came back negative, then you are NOT pregnant. The tests are pretty accurate. Getting off of the pill can make your body do some strange things like cramping and no bleeding. You need to give your body time to adjust to its natural hormones because you've been on synthetics for a while now (I assuming). Also, if you were pregnant you would most likely have sore breasts and would start to have other symptoms like nausea and tiredness. Just try to calm down and wait another month for your period to come. Eventually it will start back.

And if you aren't wanting to get pregnant, please use protection because you CAN get pregnant in between cycles. It doesn't take that much brains to prevent pregnancy just a little planning.

i agree with your friends. your body is used to having that horomone and now it's not getting it anymore so your cycle will be affected by this.
