Go to your library and find a book with photographic essays on castles. Then go to your local building supplier and buy a sheet of pink foam insulation. It is a solid foam and you use this to make your castle with.
Now using your book as an guide cut up the foam into the shapes of the rocks used in the castle. The foam pieces you cut are actually your building blocks. Do not use a glue that melts to bond. Use yellow wood glue, yellow because that colour denotes that the wood glue dries faster than the white glue. It isn't any better it just dries faster. A hot blade will cut the Styrofoam better than a cold one. Try to use an industrial snap off blade from Olfa or it's equivalent. You can use a tea candle to warm up the blade or a hot plate on low but be careful with the candle because you actually have an open flame to work with. This is a fire. True it is a small one but never the less small fires can quickly grow to engulf a house if great care is not taken. Keep the flame isolated from everything wear tight fitting clothes and do not let it near the Styrofoam.
The styrofoam is a mallable product and can be cut to any shape you want very easily. When colouring it do not use a paint that holds any thinners or volatile product. They will only melt the styrofoam. Use a water based paint.
When you are finished building your castle mix your glue with water to a very low viscosity. That is a slurry mix. Brush on the glue to the castle inside out. You want to do this so you will have something hold the next step. The thinned glue will act as an adhesive for a soupy mix of plaster of Paris. Once the glue has set brush over the whole thing with this soupy plaster and when it dries you can paint it the grey colours of rock for a better visual effect. Other wise it is going to be a pink castle that will give reason to think that the architect is" Richard the Lionhearted".
So you will need; A reference for building-a photograph,
a sheet of pink foam insulation, yellow wood glue, masking tape to help hold the pieces together while the glue dries, containers for the glue slurry, plaster of Paris, two cheap brushes, one for the glue and one for the plaster, a source of heat for the blade, a snap off blade olfa knife, water based paints. A piece of plywood to set the castle on would be a good idea too.
You will also need patience.
I hope this helps and I hope you do well.

Paper towel rolls for the towers, card board box for the castle, makers will make stone walls. Construction paper for the top of towers. Tooth picks will hold flag on tower. Cut out windows and draw bridge. Tooth picks will also hold bridge.

use cardboard, and cover it with modeling clay to look like stone block. the key elements are going to be your central keep tower or donjon. Use a large oatmeal canister,or cracker box depending on weather you want square or round towers.a courtyard surrounded by a defensive wall with towers and a gatehouse. make the towers out of pringles cans. as i said earlier cover the whole mess in modeling clay and make lines in it so it looks like stone. don't forget a moat and drawbridge...good luck.
