The leader of Saudi Arabia is not a President, except in the very broadest sense of the term. He is a King, royalty. He is chosen ("elcted") from a small pool of appropriate young men and then rules as absolute monarch until he dies.
Queen Elizabeth is royalty too, and while I am not direspecting her at all, she does not have anywhere NEAR the political power over the Brits as the Saudi King has over his subjects (and the oil UNDER his subjects, of course). THank God (or Allah) the one they have in there now is someone who realizes there is good in Western culture as well. They ever get a King over there who decides America really is the infidel the rest of the Middle East countries say we are, and we will be back to driving horses and buggys within 6 months.
Do you like a dictator having THAT much control over your life? Every time OPEC decides you aren't paying enough for a gallon of gas, they lower output, which raises prices. If people conserve and demand drops, OPEC simply continues to lower crude oil output, until inevitable demand (the point where you can conserve no more and use no less fuel) stops the falling value of oil. Then consumers, trapped into using oil, even though the I/C engine has been obsolete for over 60 years, continue burning fossil fuels, depleting the ozone layer to the point no amount of sunblock lotion will prevent skin cancers from blooming on people's face and arms like little brown rosebuds.
The way out of this cycle, the way to stop having to kowtow to any foreign country, in order to keep that oil flowing, makes me feel sick to my stomache, how easily the American people are able to be led away from the values which made this country great, is to make oil irrelevent. Come up with a cheap efficient storage cell for personal vehicles. One which doesnt lose its charge, which is cheaper to recharge than buy new, and the only time you'll hear about OPEC is when they wont sell petroleum products to make any more plastic Jesus figurines or something.
Americans do not condone torture or illegal incarceration of ANY human, US citizen or not, by the US;
Americans do not condone a husband beating his wife because she was gang raped, the rape apparently "dishonors" the husband and (so as not to appear unmanly to his equally idiotic neighbors) he beats her, how the wife feels about it is a matter of conjecture, she isn't allowed to voice an opinion.
Americans have no problem with companies making profits. Causing artificial shortages of vital resources (i.e., resources it is IMPOSSIBLE to boycott in order to protest) in order to make RIDICULOUS profits at the expense of the barely-holding-on-as-it-is working poor of this country, is not American.
American Democrats do not want to turn America over to socialists. They do not want to force women to have abortions, nor do they give cash to homeless people so the hobos'll vote Democrat (which is illogical; without valid ID and a valid address, no one can vote, and what homeless guy still ha a valid driver's license?).
Americans don't tell people in any State, not even Florida, their vote in ANY election doesn't count, because a piece of paper was still hanging on the ballot, ESPECIALLY if the vote count is so close the outcome had to be decided by the US Supreme Court. This is AMERICA- we're supposed to be past sophomore problems in the electoral process such as these!
Americans dont admire corporations who lay off workers, but continue to award their CEO salaries and bonuses at hundreds of times the rate for the people actually doing the WORK. or who outsource labor to cheap foreign countries, or decide to move corporate offices to forgeign countries to avoid paying US tax, etc.
Americans would not tolerate a public healthcare system as profit driven and substandard as what we have to deal with today. Walk into any metropolitan emergency room and see the bedlam on ANY given day. Drug companies own doctors (why do you think they want you to "Consult your physician" about everything on the market?) Insurance companies own hospitals and hire unqualified non-English speaking nurses, because they aren't unionized, lay off union nurses, then lament the "Terrible Nursing shortage";

no not all arab leadera are kings, because simple not all arab countries are monarchies.
i'm Egyptian and my country is a republic, and we have a president just like lebanon, syria, tunisia...and many more.
Frankly, the reason is the lack of democracy.
for example, our president ruled egypt for 25 years now, he always gets 90 something % of votes in the presidentail elections.
some people say its never fair elections, and some say yes people vote for him cause they are afraid to have a worse president thats all.
we have this saying in Egypt translated "who we know is better than who we dont" maybe thats why people vote for him everytime.
nobody ever dares to stand to the president and try to be one, so there is no competition.
so people complained and finally last year was the first time Egypt witness a normal elections, and guess what, everybody wanted to be president are either in prison, died in an accident... if u know what i mean, so now we're sure it will never happen again, and that our current president will stay till he die, God bless us to cope with that.

convinced, there's a saying that "the only component I had to ***** about even as Clinton became in workplace became how lengthy I had to attend in line at a cafe". Do you save in ideas presently. Now the position I stay it is form of a ghost city reason it is a conservative area. the organizations left even as Bush became nonetheless in workplace. i canchronic to a more desirable liberal area about 40 minutes away & all and sundry is so a lot more desirable alive. A conservative at age 70 is gray, drained, worn & stupid & boring A liberal 70 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous wears tremendous outfits vivid, joyful does yoga & is in good structure & sensible & sensible & engaged. Clinton became tremendous & so is Obama. O had a a lot worst mess to freshen up than Clinton did. The Bush's were given better at destroying as time went on. They were given better at making particular people richer.
