Losing the hair they were born with either on their body or on their heads is normal. Most babies lose the hair on their head and it is soon replaced with the hair color that they will grow up with. My son who was born a month early was born with a full head of very dark hair like his daddy. He is now 8 months old and as blonde as I am his hair never "fell" out until about 5-6 months and it just thinned out from thick and dark to thin and blonde.

It is normal for newborn babies to lose their birth hair. In fact they will lose all their hair and replace normally with lighter hair. Sometimes losing it in patches is normal. If the baby is gaining weight on schedule and eating ok, there is nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Most babies lose the hair they are born with. It's really common. You may end up with a little baldy for a while, but their hair will grow in. It's normal.

That's very usual. My son's fell out and he looked like a little old man because it fell out in the normal male pattern baldness pattern. All of it fell out except what was in the very back at the bottom right above his neck. His was dark black when he was born and it grew in reddish blond, now it's really light blond and he's almost 2 so don't be suprised if he changes hair color when it grows back.

My second daughter was exactly like this. SHe wanted to nurse all the time then she would fuss and power puke afterwards and cry. Turned out that she was lactose intolerant (not protein allergy like most babies have). It meant she was allergic to milk sugar (not protein) and that she was allergic to my milk. I found out afterwards (after I stopped breastfeeding) that I may have been able to keep breastfeeding if I had stopped taking in so much milk of my own. Another thing is that maybe she misses being close to you. I went through something like this with my oldest daughter and I put my nursing top in her crib under her. As long as she could smell my scent she would sleep soundly. Also maybe she's not getting enough to eat if she's falling asleep. Try undressing her to make her chilly and keep her awake or cycling her arm to keep her roused enough to eat and get the fatty filling milk at the end of the feeding. Good luck :)

It's common for new born babies to lose their baby hair. Some lose their hair in spots, some lose all of it. Don't worry it will grow back.
