i was going to do a jounalism degree, but i decided to do a media degree as it gives a better overview of the industry and gives lots more experience. for journalism english is obviously very important(english language) media is a good one to have too as you get a general idea of jounalism and how the press and print industry is run and works. you'll enjoy it, the media industry is a great one to get into. good luck

You are apparently in the UK, so I have no advice as to the courses you need, but I would suggest that you reconsider majoring in journalism. What are they going to teach you? How to write a lead? How to do an interview? If you like take one or two practical journalism classes that will teach you these things. The rest of the classes, however, will likely be useless stuff. You should think about majoring in a subject such as economics or science that will give you some background knowledge for your future journalistic writing. I think that you will find that most top journalists did not major in journalism on the undergraduate level. Good luck.
