There are several issues that would influence one to vote for a particular party. Some that I can come up with are as follows: (1) the abortion issue (2) the role of government in certain environments (3) Taxes (4) who is in power NOW and whether or not the person agrees or disagrees with what is happening (5) the issue of taxes.

These are just a few.

Honesty and Intregrity (if it exists anymore)
Protect the Constitution
Protect Social Security
Spread tax dollars based on thoughtful judgement
