Nitrogen, the first element listed in your fertilizer, causes greening, and growth, sometimes excessive growth if you put more than you need. Iron, will give an almost immediate green up, but it doesn't last a long time, especially if you have so much nitrogen that you have excessive growth. When using iron, if the phosphorus (second number in fertilizer) content is to high, the regular iron sources may get "tied up" with it, and not be available to the plant. If that is the case, "chelated" iron may be needed. Watch the irrigation, over watering, and over fertilizing, can cause fungus problems.

You can spray the grass with ammonia, yes, ammonia, and a small amount of lemon dish liquid. Use a fertilizer sprayer (the kind that automatically mixes the water and fertilizer) and fill the sprayer with amonia then add about 1/4 cup dish liquid. Set the sprayer to distribute 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Nitrogen is what keeps the grass green and ammonia is a cheap and easy solution. Google Jerry Baker's recipes (he's a master gardener) and although some of his recipes I consider questionable, I've used this one for years. By the way, I have the greenest grass in the neighborhood:) Just tell your gardener to be careful of the ammonia fumes and to use gloves.

Ironite and nitrogen, plus the appropriate watering, are good ways to get grass green unless it is winter. In the case of winter time, which it is in the northern hemisphere (USA, etc.), I would suggest spreading a winter ANNUAL grass seed which will grow green in the winter and then die off in the summer and not compete when the perinal summer grass returns to life/green.

Replant the kind of grass that grows on golf courses. Different types of grass are different shades of green. And - like you said - watering and fertilizing helps, but the variety of grass you plant matters also.

it will probably stay this green for a while if you give it lots of water. if it fades, then a fertilizer, with a high , i think, nitrogen content will keep it that green color u like, if in doubt call a good nursery, and they will advise you.
