Summarize what you said in the body of the essay. Use at least 3 sentences and go from the specific to the general. It's like your thesis paragraph in reverse but don't copy it exactly. Also, do NOT use words like "in conclusion" or "to summarize..."

The conclusion is basically a summary of everything that you have already written in the paper. I was once told by a teacher that if you just read the first two sentences of the paper and the conclusion, you will know everything about the paper without reading the entire thing; therefore, your conclusion is one of the most important parts of the paper.

General rule to be followed when writing an essay: Introduce what you're about to say (this would be the introduction), say it (the body), and finally, sum up what you have just said (conclusion). Also, try adding some kind of aphorism, a concise witty observation (about the topic of the composition) which will make your essay a lot more memorable. G'Luck!
