I think it's a case sometimes of things that are either meant or not meant to happen. Sometimes things don't happen and you're disappointed but then something better comes along (eg. when job or house hunting etc) and you realise you didn't want the first thing after all because what you end up with is better. Sometimes that feels like fate. As far as meeting long term partners goes that can be under very tenuous circumstances and it does make you wonder about fate.

i am alive and that is enough of an experience.. by the way here r some wonderful quotes..

* All happenings on earth are acts of providence. Brahma has the power to convert a beggar into a king, and a king into a beggar.

* I can proclaim confidently that Hari (God) is the preserver of life. That is why I am quiet and unruffled. The birth of a child is probably the greatest proof of God's existence. There is milk for him in his mother's breast, even before he has been placed in the haven of her arms. What a marvel!

My salutations to the lord!

As long his blessings are upon us, we can live without fear and worry.

* The Age, Perseverance, Knowledge, Education, Prosperity and Death of a man are determined by Nature, as he lies nestled in his mother's womb. Man is a mere puppet in the hands of fate. He dances to Destiny's tune.

* The conch shell comes from the depths of ocean - a treasure trove of jewels. Laxmi( Godess of wealth), lavishes material affection on it.

But when the conch falls into the hands of a beggar, it serves as a tool for begging. The blameless conch shell is helpless before this twist of fate. Oh friends! Powerful and strange is the play of destiny.

* If Kadeem's tree is unable to bear leaves, should one blame the spring? Is the sun to blame for the owl's blindness during the day? Must one rebuke the clouds, if the chavak failed to enjoy the drops of rain? Accept acts of providence. One cannot change that which is pre-ordained.

* The human body is destructible. Affluence, too, is unreliable. Therefore, one should waste little time in earthly frivolities. One should perform virtuous deeds, and aim for a spiritual life, for therein lies true prosperity. A man’s spiritual self will not only help him cope with earthly life, but will also guide him after death, into his next life.

It all depends on who you ask and what they believe in, most people don't believe in fate because they don't like the fact that something is in control of their life. Other people choose to believe in fate because they like the fact that there is going to be someone there for them no matter what happens to them. To answer you question no and no.

Theres a huge contradiction in fate beleivers

In once sentence they say 'it was fate' and in the next they'll say 'wrong place, wrong time'

both of these phrases oppose each other.

I dont think many TRULY 100% beleive in fate, makes things seem a little drab and pointless is there is no free will and choice.

I believe a fate is the end of an order of events, but you control the order of events, so your fate in any given situation is always changing.....

I believe in fate but you have to help it along.
Being at the right place at the right time, and add a little luck.

You have to believe in fate. It is pre-ordained (Kidding, just kidding)

There are clearly some things that happen that you can't do a thing about. If they happen without warning, you are caught up in them not through your own actions. That it seems to be would be fate (earth quakes for example).

I never used to but i do now. I've had loads of horrible things happen to me in my life. And i believe they happened to me for a reason. To make me a stronger, better and smarter person.

If i had had an easy life i wouldn't appreciate the small things in life or the things that really matter like making true friendships.

You can argue all day until your blue in the face, and still not prove whether you were supposed to meet somebody at a particular time or die at a certain time. A lot of it is coincidence. If you could repeat the same moment in time, it may or may not happen the same way.
