If dark matter constitutes the vast percentage of the universe, why is it not found all around us?

It may be... we're just not sure what to look for. It may be so diffuse that's it's effects over small ranges are negligible.

It is found all around us actually.
But the way u think being surrounded means is a bit incorrect. In astronomical terms, if i say that im surrounded by dark matter, then it wouldnt mean that dark matter would be going inside my nose n mouth, and be found on every road.
Remember, that we're talking about astronomy here. Moreover, earth constitutes a negligible space in the universe. SO, even if earth doesnt have enough of dark matter, it doesnt mean that the universe lacks dark matter.

an example- It is estimated, that our galaxy may be more massive that andromeda galaxy, just on the basis of dark matter. Though, andromeda is more massive on the basis of visible mass (about twice as massive).
IN SHORT, IF U CANT FEEL THE EFFECTS OF DARK MATTER ON OR NEAR EARTH, THEN IT DOESNT PROVE ITS ABSENCE, AS EARTH FORMS NEGLIGIBLE PART OF THE UNIVERSE.

Dark matter is just such a lousy name.

It should really be called "we have no clue what it is" matter. But scientists do not like to admit ignorance, so dark sounds more brooding, understood and mysterious.

The answer to your question is really, we do not know why it is not found all around us. We do not know why we cannot see it. We do not know what it is. We just know it is there because we can measure its gravitational effects on galaxies.

It isn't found around us, get it. It isn't found around us. It is found elsewhere int he universe. So, why is it not around us? I think that it is becuase it sucks.
