I can't really help you with the "pooped" part, but I do know that processed hair means that the hair has taken on a form other than it's natural state due to chemicals. After the "process" is done, it is not easily reversed.
For example, a curly perm is considered "processed".
When black women have straight hair, it is "processed" because it doesn't grow naturally like that (for 99.9% of us, anyway!)
Now, if someone with naturally curly hair were to use a straightening iron to smooth it out, that would not be considered a "process" - mainly beacuse no chemicals were used (just heat). And once they wash their hair it is curly again.
I hope that helps!
