Using a base makes it easier to apply your normal foundation and hides any redness, blemishes or spots you may have.
First of all exfoliate your face once or twice a week to get rid of the dead skin cells. On the other days use a face wash or a moisturising soap to stop your skin from drying out. If you have dry skin on your face the foundation will not reach its maximum potential.
Make sure you buy the correct base and foundation to match your skin tone. A good foundation will blend into your jaw line.
First of all apply a skin moisturiser as this will make it easier to rub your base foundation in. Next apply your main foundation and add a light blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Smiling when you do this will make it easier.
Hope this helps!

Look in the mirror? If it looks uneven then it is, use a make up sponge, and take off any excess by blotting with a tissue. Don't choose a colour that stands out, it should really disappear into your natural skin tone, just making it look more even. Remember having a chuckle at those teens with orange face masks on! You don't want that effect.

Beacuse it looks like your head doesnt belong to your neck. The best way to get it on even is to do it in a really bright mirror, where there is lots of light! I had a mirror that was really poorly located with a small light next to it and the make up looked ace when i was doing it, then i got outside and i looked like i'd been tangoed!

When Applying Foundation;blend it in using small circular movements and blend until you can't see it anymore, if you've already applied it and not sure if its even put your chin to your chest so that the neck is more pronounced and then you can see if its left a line if it has just rub downwards to even it out

You go out and buy you a good make up sponge, the kind
that breathes & has the holes all in it. You wash the sponge
and dry a bit with a towel, then add your make up to the sponge
and apply it to your face, but use a good moisterizer first if you
have dry skin. That should do it!

Look at yourself in a very bright light. Sunlight is the best and use a magnifying mirror.
