I know he's talented and a hustler and all. I was just wondering if he's been welcomed the right way. And no, jealousy is for the weak-minded like some of you folks. I am the greatest!!

I can't wait to see a guy like Phaneuf or Smith catch him with a perfect open ice hit when he's coming through with his head down or admiring a pass. Just wait till he comes out West....

I'm not a huge Crosby fan either. But he is good. I just don't like how the media play him up all the time. The TSN guys boasted how he "Stole the Show at the Skills Competition"....give me a freaking break! As far as I was concerned, every player who made it to the All Star game were just as great (and even greater) than Crosby. Today, there is no big headline that said "Crosby pointless in 1st career All Star Game".....now that is something we'll probably NEVER see. I was happy to see Ovechkin and Staal score.
As far as welcoming Crosby to the NHL, I think he takes his knocks. He just hasn't seen stars yet and I don't think anyone would do it at this point - he's too much of a role model.

"cocky little showboat"???
You obvioulsy are just a bitter jealous fool! Crosby is a complete class act, as well as the best player in the game. I'm sorry if your team (Islanders, or Flyers maybe?) sucks, but it is not Crosby's fault! If you knew anything about hockey you would know that if anyone can be classified as a "showboat" it would be Ovechkin before Crosby!
To answer your question though, he has had many welcome to the NHL moments. Most of which were cheap shots by slow out dated losers like Hatcher, and Fedoryuk! The difference is that instead of laying there like a little b*tch, Crosby gets even by pumping goals into the oppositions net!

Well, Derian Hatcher broke a couple of his teeth in one of his first games. Sidney didn't miss a shift and ended up scoring to win the game. He was pissed.

Yeah.. Philly tried and knocked some teeth out last year. Now we kick their arses everytime we play them! The more you irritate Sidney the better he does... he's leading the NHL in points.. i'm sure alot of people are jealous and will try to get him.

I'd nail him into the boards; I have no problem drilling a star player to make a statement.
My gal Melrose loves to see him hammer opponents into the wall.

The hawks slapped him around last year and he whined alot. But no, he'd not had his hat handed to him yet.
A couple of good checks and he goes pointless in the game. Imagine that, just like gretzky.
