so he has left it that i see my midwife in 2 wks and see what she thinks. his answer was the baby could just be small.
but the measurments have not changed in 4/5wks since my last visit, but heartbeat is strong and movements are fine!!!
should i worry?
has anyone else had small measurements but the baby been ok?
i just read online that the uterus should match the # of wks you are and i should be 32/33 wks.

What did the doctor say? Was he concerned? Did he order more tests? Ultrasounds are not an exact science; they give you measurements and weights that may not even be close to what they really are; they may estimate the weight at 11 pounds and then you deliver a 7-8 pound baby within normal newborn limits... Talk to your doctor; try not to worry too much, though, stress isn't good for you or the baby. Explain your concerns and ask about possible issues that may or may not arise due to this; and if you should be taking any precautions. Otherwise, try to relax. No sense in worrying just yet; talk to your doctor first. Good luck.

Don't worry, I had the same problem with my first child and there were no problems! I also was very sick the whole pregnancy. They kept saying that he was going to be really small and then when he was born he was 6 lbs 5 ozs which is very healthy size! If the heartbeat is strong and movement is Good then I would not worry!
Good Luck and Congrats!

I was always small for dates my 5 sons were between 5 lb 2 and 6 lb 11 and my 6th son was big at 8 lb 3. As long as baby is moving around don't worry. You can always ask for a scan to check the size of your baby i had to have scans every 4 weeks.

there is nothing to worry about.
if there was anything wrong with the baby the doc has to tell you or he can loose his job.
You have to think that babies dont grow as much in the 3rd part of pregnancy so there wont be much change in the measurements.
also, take in to concideration that in the 3rd part of pregnancy growin isnt the worry, this is the time where the baby will be puttin on weight. That is more important than measurements.
your baby is fine, just relax and dont get worked up thinking the dioc aint telling you out- he cant do that!!

I was very small when I was pregnant. My baby ended up being a normal size. (She was 6 lbs 5oz). But I never measured up to the week I should! My doc didn't worry b/c the heartbeat and movements were good like yours. But I was thin to start with and stayed very active . I gained 20 lbs but no one could tell I was pregnant untill 2 weeks before I delievered. I think you and your baby are fine.
However, trust your own instincts! Its your body. If you feel something is wrong go back to your doc and keep pushing the issue and if he doesn't listen see another doctor.

They just sent my friend for a scan saying the baby was too small. She went for the scan and the baby was just fine. Try not to worry. I have found the midwife is not always right and I've had 4 kids. Good luck.

It could also be baby's position. Fundal height can be affected by how baby is laying in the womb. Have you been gaining weight OK?
At 32 weeks, a normal measurement is anywhere from 30 to 34 cm. (Plus or minus 2 cm is normal.) So you're not that far off from normal.

YOur uterus will be stretching to accommodate baby, so if baby is small, then your uterus won't the average size of 32 weeks. I think you need to relax - if the doc thought something was drastically wrong, then he wouldn't advise you to wait and see what the midwife thinks in a couple of weeks - he would have admitted you to hosp.
