I think it can buy you a false happiness, but so many people are into that now a days. They only care about themselves and what they can buy and what materialistic item they have.

Would I like more money? ... Sure, but do I have to have it? Nope

I would much rather be wealthy in love with my family like I am now.

The problem with the saying "Money can buy you happiness", is that we live in America. This a capitalist based, consumer driven society. Money is thought to make people happy cause our culture is used to buying everything they "need" to be happy. I guess that would be stuff like a house, food, energy, material junk, gas, debt consolidation, entertainment. Homeless people aren't believed to be happy. Why, cause their poor? But the really valuable things in life that are intangible, like love, friendship, experiences, and freedom are priceless. How bout this? Money can pay your bills and buy you materials. If that makes you happy. Me I'll take a smile or a laugh from a stranger instead. That makes me happy :-)

I guess it depends on what makes you happy. I for one enjoy being able to eat and feed my kids, cloth them so that they're not cold, put a roof over their head with heat or air depending on the time of year. I also enjoy not having creditors calling me threatening to take everything I own after they've taken me to court. I enjoy being able to have a vehicle and gas to run it so I can take my children to the park and run errands. So since you didn't specify a certain dollar amount in your question I'll say yes, money can really bring you happiness. Is there such thing as having too much money, absolutely. I think if you're not a happy person inside you can't possilby be a happy person by having more money.

Conventional dictates: Happiness is the absence of Sorrow.

The exchange in itself is limited to produce available to human kind; Barter of products and value association, attachment to corporeal objects.

Circumstance allowing the exchange of Money:
– Food, physical and emotional security (bare necessities); Preservation.
– Medicine is bought to the extent of relieving Pain; Comfort.
– Relationship forming; Fast Friends abide in Money.
– Revamping personal image and portrayal to the world; Collective praise.
– Strong collective disagreement on flaunting money; Collective denigration.
– Self elevation proclaimed to the world; God-like.
– Self prescribed values and attachment to happiness; Happiness.
– Promise alluding to all the above; The witness; Have-Nots.

Money, the symbolic link to Happiness, made real through the practice of acquiring quantities of this symbol.

Being symbolic in acquisition, symbolic happiness is accrued in equal and similar depths of profundity.

Over Time:
– Money diminishes in value and they make it every day.
– Happiness fade and ideas on the definition of happiness changes.

Both are subject to transitory states and fluctuations of quantity, with the constant being Money, subject to further ideological changes.

So this day, buy us an idea, buy us belief, buy us a state of being.

A penny for your thoughts.

No, I don't believe money can buy you happiness. People who suffer from mental illnesses such as depression can't just snap out of it just because they have a lot of money. Life doesn't work that way.

Yes..I can honestly say, money will buy me happiness cause If I had money to do everything I wanted to do, then shoot, I'll be so happy. Even though money can't buy you a lover and all that crap..but I'll take lonelessness any day to have a lot of money. And everybody knows they want money, or more of it. They just don't want to seem money hungry.
