I don't think denying a teen who is pregnant an education is going to help her or the child. While forcing her out of a school she is already familiar with, has a support network in, and knows--certainly will.

i am a pregnant teen i am 18 years old and i know it is going to be very hard but my support system is amazing so it was either adoption or go on with the prenancy but some just dont think it will happen to them me i was on the pill well it didnt work that could be a whole lot of other people problems their method did not work but if they were on here say that they are 16 and 17 pregnant and wanting an abortion because they are to young you all would critize! IT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE and it isnt going to stop i am an example of that though i already graduated and am in collage some girls wont finish school others will to give them and their babies the best live but you know what i think EVERYONE NEEDS TO LEAVE US ALONE I AM GOING TO DO THE BEST I CAN DO and i will be an amazing mother and a little support from others would be nice -kristy (pregnant at 18)

Teens should not be getting pregnant, but if they do, of course they should stay in school. They made a mistake and ruining their entire future over it won't help. It's ridiculous to think they will be a bad influence on other teens, like the other teens don't know what's going on if they don't come to school! I had several friends in high school who got pregnant, and believe me, the ones who finished school are doing much better now than those who didn't! Example: Girl A stayed in school and now has stable job and family life. Girl B dropped out and ended up selling drugs. Pretty clear which is better, huh?

I believe, pregnant or not, you still have a right to an education. Teens have been having babies since the bible days, so why in 2007 it is still treated like some "new news" is perplexing to me.

At this point in society, if a pregnant teen being a so called "normal school setting" was a problem, then the money is there to build facilities, with teachers, as well as psychologist, etc that can equip these girls for the enormous responsibility they are about to face.

As a culture, we need to be more Proactive in meeting the needs of our youth, instead of jibber jabbing, pointing fingers and outcasting them in situations.

Words need to become DEEDS that meet NEEDS...I despise all talk and no action people!

Do I believe that teens should be irresponsible enough to get pregnant? NO but unfortunately because of lack of education(or kids just flat out not listening because we adults don't know what we are talking about) it happens and yes I believe that a pregnant teen should continue schooling.

Yes, one mistake shouldn't cause you to make another. There isn't really any reason that a pregnant teen can not finish school. There are so many programs that will help. My high school even had a daycare for the teen parents on campus.

No, I think teens should first finish school and go to college, before they become pregnant. I had a lof to girl friends who were pregnant while we were in high school and they missed more than half the school year and they had to stay in the same grade!

If you are a teen and want to get pregnant, please dont! You will ruin your future (not that kids are bad, just that you are too young)! Believe me, I had to quit going to college do to my pregnancy, and then I had a c-section and I really had to quit, couldnt go back in time!!

YES. The biggest reason being is that the last thing they need is to stop educating themselves, especially since they are going to be parents and will have to financially provide for thier kid. The second reason being is maybe she will prevent some other teen pregnancies if she is around the other students daily to provide them with a reminder that it is not cute or fun to be a pregnant teen.

It happens, I think that just because a girl or teen gets pregnant that doesn't mean kick them out of school. I applaud them for trying to continue their education. I wish teens would learn it is better for them and easier on them to wait and that they should live their life and figure out who they are before having a baby. But I also don't think because they got pregnant they should have an abortion.

I think a teen getting pregnant is complete stupidity with all that is available to prevent getting pregnant, but if it were to happen HELL YES THEY SHOULD BE IN SCHOOL. Going to school and getting an education is only going to help that baby have a stable home since the mother would have a better chance at getting a decent job to support her family.
