It shouldn't hurt too much. Just bring a book or and iPod or someting to distract you. OF COURSE your mom can come with you! Just think, "pain is just a sensation" and distract yourself from it, that's what my friend's mom says to us all the time when we get a cut or something, and believe it or not, it works! Good Luck!

there is no longer something to be petrified of. you could take your mom with you to boot. the 1st factor they do is placed a rubber band around your arm which will experience a splash tight. Then the nurse will draw the blood by skill of sticking an truly tiny needle into your arm. the significant factor is to no longer wiggle around. Be very nonetheless. turn your head faraway from the arm that the needle is going into so as which you do no longer ought to reveal screen. you need to experience a pinching feeling while the needle is going into your arm. it is not that painful. in case you experience you're able to need to cry then bypass forward and cry. people will comprehend. all of it takes below a minute so in case you prefer you could initiate counting on your head to help occupy a while. I used to get this carried out as quickly as a week or 2. My well being care expert advised me the day previous to this that i do no longer ought to anymore so now i will basically use my huge information and adventure to council the greater youthful.

Yes, you mom can come, and no it feels like a very light pinch.
Not to freak you out but when I had my first blood test...I looked at the neddle and I all most fainted!! So here are here are some tips:
DO NOT look at the neddle at ANY time!!!
Just talk to the nurse
Bring a friend if your aloud
Ask if you can bring water to drink after the neddle is out
Bring an Ipod or mp3 player
Good luck!!!

Actually, I had to get blood tests a couple of times, and it honestly didn't hurt at all! I get all nervous about it, but when they did it I seriously didn't even feel the needle. For me it was nothing at all like getting a shot or anything. I was really happy!

A pinch hurts more than a needle, don't worry about it. I hadn't gotten a shot since i was like 7, then, about 10 years later i got a shot and i didn't even feel it going in. DOn't worry, just relax, think of something nice, that you like, and it'll be fine

It won't hurt a bit. Just don't look at all when they are doing it. You might feel a tiny little nick, but keep your arm still. You mum should be allowed with you by all means, so just talk to her and ignore the fact that they are doing anything at all. When its over, you'll be wondering what you were so worried about.

i've had quite a few blood tests, and it's just a small pinch and an uncomfortable feeling for a little while, but it's over and done with before you know it. And yup, my mom was right there holding my hand, so take yours along, it really helps. good luck.

ya about two years ago when i was 12 i had one and i really hate needles but its about the same as a flu or any other shots. when they do it they first put a spray on it that makes it so it wont hurt and its really fast to. they mite give you the option to prick your finger but i didn't because it take a long time and then your fingers sore and you cant use it much so the shots better.well good luck and God bless you:)

I am sure that your mom can be with you. When you get the shot don't look at it...it makes it a little easier. As far as it hurting...it will feel like a pinch and then it is over.

I am sure your mum can come with you.

And it doesn't hurt really, it hurts less than a bee sting by far and it's over so fast you won't know what happened!
