Go to MSconfig under Start --> Run. Follow the tabs to Services and Startup. I reccomend to DISABLE ALL ITEMS UNDER STARTUP. Then reboot your system and do a scan. Otherwise, slave the drive up to another machine and scan it as a slave.

If you know the name and location of the virus boot in safe mode with command prompt. Use cd command to get to the appropriate directory then type attrib *.* -h -a -s then type del and filename. Then restart system and the offending file should be removed.
