My picks, from most to least favorite:
1. Texas! Go Lone Star State! 'Nuff said!
2. Georgia: jobs abounding in ATL. I don't necessarily like ATL, but I like the north GA mountains, the beaches, Savannah, and the most laid-back culture of south GA. Athens is a cool town, too.
3. Washington: Beautiful? Oh, yes! Plus, Seattle is a historic, happening place. I wouldn't mind living out there, except the cost of living is exhorbetant and the overall politics are too liberal.

I like Savannah, but I hate Atlanta!

1. Georgia. It is the only state I have been to out of the three. Ii love Savannah and the northern part, too. And Atlanta is really cool, though extremely congested.
2. My sister used to live in Washington and loved it. I have seen beautiful photos. And any city (Seattle) that is the setting for a great TV show like Grey's Anatomy can't be all bad!
#.Texas. Please don't get all bent out of shape because I put Texas third. I have answered other Texas Q's before and people think I am bashing it when in reality I am teasing because i really can't judge because I've never been there. My husband didn't like it when he lived there but his Dad was in the Air Force and I am sure that kind of life had something to do with it. And his step brother got wrongly convicted (later it was over turned and taken off his record) and sent to jail in Houston where, as a culry haired baby face he was severely abused. That, too, has nothing to do with the state per se. Someday I hope to visit and when the time comes I will ask a Q on Y!A as to what the best places to see will be.
