Being involved in nutrition and not looking my age I can give you some tips. Eat the right foods, exercise, don't smoke, stay away from alcoholic beverages and avoid too much sun exposure on bare skin. And drink good amounts of water daily. Water helps flush away waste from your system. Try to avoid drinking too much soda.

I don't know if this is what you mean or not, but I'm 22 (23 later on this year), and people have always mistaken me for no older than 16 (and 12 when I was 16). Mostly, this is because I have a naturally round face, which makes me look younger anyway.

But, things I do to avoid early wrinkles (beyond the tiny ones under my eyes from squinting; I'm terribly near-sighted, which means I have to use those clip-on sunglasses) are:

1) I've accepted that I have fair skin, and do everything possible to avoid tanning. I wear strong sunscreen, and I even bought a large straw hat. Of course, I enjoy being pale, other people might not, and the safest way to go about changing that is self-tanner and maybe a minimum of sun exposure. I have a friend who's only two months older than me, and her skin looks like old leather from too much tanning.

2) Get plenty of sleep.

3) Drink plenty of water, and make sure your skin stays moisturized.

4) Avoid smoking, drugs, heavy drinking, and excess partying. I've never touched so much as a drop of alcohol myself, and I'm not really into the club scene, but I understand that some people are; so I'd advise not having too many late nights, and keeping the alcohol consumption to a minimum -don't spend every weekend seeing which of your friends you can drink under the table.

5) Do your best to eat a healthy, balanced diet and stay in shape; not necessarily skinny, but whatever the ideal weight is for your height and body type. Losing too much weight can also make a person look old and drawn.

A lot is dependent on your genes! Everything in moderation! Eating right, a little red wine every day, little or no smoking, proper rest, become a positive thinker, manage your emotions, minimal exposure to the sun, moderate exercise, always eat a healthy breakfast,no drugs only RX, light lunch, moderate dinner, avoid destructive people, take vitamin & mineral daily, appropriate amounts of water daily, maintain healthy relationships, work to live rather than living to work, find a form of work you love, develop a loving relationship either temporary or permanent, limit risky behavior!!!!

very wise young woman you are. there is a lot that you can do. the #1 most important thing has nothing to do with moisturizer or cleansers. USE SUNSCREEN EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!!
before you leave the house in the morning use a high spf sunscreen. i have tried many over the years. an excellent one is neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sunblock spf 55 with helioplex. helioplex helps the sunscreen last longer. I normally reapply midday as the protection will not last the entire day.
when you are a bit older, you may want to begin using retin-a. it reduces fine lines and wrinkles and reverses some sun damage.
when you are in your 30's and 40's there are many lasere and other treatments available. but for you - sunscreen. every day.

You are smart to think about it early. Some people just have good genetics (I think I'm one of those) but definately avoid smoking, heaving drinking, street drugs and other toxins. Use a good moisturizer but don't go spending a fortune on anti-aging products. I think the real key is just enjoying life and doing the things you like in moderation. Happy people look younger!

I am 39 and no one guess me to be over 27!! You are smart to start young! Prevention is the key, but genetics will play a part too. I always use moisturizer( Mary Kay is the best), wear sunglasses so I don't squint, drink lots of water and never suntan my face! Also (and I know this sounds silly), but I never rub my eyes or stretch my skin on my face in anyway. You know, like when you rest your elbow on the table and put your face in your hand to hold up your head. :) I am not sure which one of these things worked for me, but it did!! We are all going to get old one day, but no need to rush looking old. Good luck.

Personally, I am only 21, but a friend of mine is 45 and does not look a day over 25 -- NOT KIDDING!!

Some good tips:
Stay active. Even if all you do is walk everyday. Keep your body happy and healthy

Water -- Stay away from too many dark drinks - pop, coffee, alchohol etc.

Relieve stress whenever possible. Massages, journal entries, therapy -- whatever youneed

DON'T SMOKE!!

Keep up with your everyday hygene -- brushing teeth and hair everyday, showers, washing your face -- things like that!

First and foremost drink plenty of water. Secondly use a good line of facial products on your skin. I highly recommend Arbonne. I am 32 and have been using it for years with awesome results. Go to facialantiaging.com for more information.

I am often mistaken for someone much younger. I can't really share my secret because no one can really do what I do. You see, I have an oily complexion which makes me practically wrinkle free. Also, I have a round face which hides any other signs of aging. You see, I wish I could get rid of my oily skin, and other days I find it flattering that people think I am much younger.
