I have learned that I allow where my mind goes, yes it may wander some times, but ultimately I control where it goes. So if I find it turned on and I'm at work, I concentrate harder on what I'm doing, or get up and go talk to a co-worker. If I'm at home I just do something else, play a game, work out or something. Guys and Girls are completely different though, not sure if I can help you much!

Well, men are turned on much more easily than women, as nature intended. So, I think that men, particularly young men, are having to control themselves most of the time. Something few women seem to appreciate, and hence, the trouble some men get into regarding sex. They are also exploitable by women.
I honestly don't think that men can, or want, to try and turn themselves off. I don't know how they would do it. Women have a slower arousal process, so I am sure that they can more easily control themselves. That is why a man often doesn't really believe a woman (initially) when she says 'no'. It is taken as her not wanting to seem easy, because sex is still seen as something that men do to women.

I don't think you can stop yourself from being turned on but you can minimize the risk of it happening by not exposing yourself to temptation.

Why would you want to stop a natural feeling like that. We are for the most part in control and know when to react to this action.

Stop myself? Never, I have learned to deal with it in all sorts of ways. It depends on the situation. In fact, if it didn't happen, I would be checking my palse to make sure that I am still alive. It is human nature. Live with it and enjoy......

I've never been turned on at work or while shopping but I'd say look for the ugliest person near you and use that.
