Absolutely! It's a great school, good programs and It's Pretty. Best reason . . . the scholarship.

St. Xavier is a small college plopped in the middle of a working class neighborhood. (103rd and Pulaski) It is a glorified community college.
The tuition is sky high, but basically everyone is on some kind of scholarship. Subsequently, $5000 may not do you much good. I would carefully calculate the total expense (especially if you plan to live on campus.)
The school is fine. Because they are so small you will get more personal attention than at a larger University.

Yes, St. Xavier is a good school. I decided on a career change in the last couple of months. I was working in a lab, now I am going to school to be a teacher. Everyone I spoke to said to take my classes at St. Xavier, it is one of the most respected in the area.

$5,000 a year? In that case, it's a good school. What are you waiting for? Jump on that. It's a decent school, small, but it depends more on what kind of student you are. College is expensive, take any kind of scholarship they will give you.
