It's pretty much a given that it'll happen to all of us. It can happen at anytime, to anyone, for any reason. So tell your friends and family that you love them as often as you can.

A couple years ago I was faced with a situation that I was certain would kill me. It was only a matter of seconds before I would die. Everything became so clear. The things I have taken advantage of all of a sudden are so important. The people I loved I love so much more. And tell them every chance I get. It's a bitter sweet experience. It's beautiful yet it's the end. That's life for you, you find out all the answers at the end. I was fortunate enough to survive with these emotions intact.

It is permanent. It can be gruesome to watch. It is life changing for those who are left. It makes you question everything that you know especially about your beliefs. It is hard to get over a death of a loved one, even a pet. Tragic death will infiltrate your being until you question your own life. An elderly friend was kidnapped and murdered and I think of him constantly and wonder why something like this had to happen.

At 16 I learned how very sudden and unexpected death can be.
Also, that the younger they are, the harder it is to accept and the longer it takes to overcome.
Others, especially parents, well they are in your heart forever...their spirit is always with you.
Of grandparents, I wished I knew more about their lives growing up and learned of stories about their parents as well...a connection to the past if you will.
I always envied the Royals because they can trace their ancestors and know the history of them. They know whence they came. I'm sure my ancestors were all peasants but obviously able and smart enough to survive wars, pestilence, disease, epidemics, pandemics, invasions and the whole bag of horrors of those European ghetto's or wherever they came from...so there is intelligence there of very hard workers which make me feel grateful. I do know me and my siblings are all like that too. Also, how else would I come to be?

i learned that you have to deal with this kind of situations cause there's nothing u could've done. eventually you get used to the idea that u lost a great person, but that u get much stronger in many ways. i lost my dad 3 years ago, and i know things would be much better if he was here to guide me, but i guess there's a reason for everything in life. what i also learned is to except the idea that he's in a better place, and that he's doing much better then i am. i also learned that dreams could also mean something, when i dream about him smiling at me i know it's a sign, so dreams can also be true. and hey i guess i learned to be the person i am today, tough, and much experienced.

it can be peaceful on one side but a big ache on the other. death can be a happy time (like if the person had cancer and is finally free from pain) or a tragic time ( a girl died from a rape then shot in the head). it all depends. but either way, death is something we all have to go through. i was watching a christian minister and he said, "we are only promised 2 things in life. to be born and to die." and that is the truth. so we need to really try and enjoy life because some people can't even move anything besides their eyes.

I have learned that death is part of the nature of life. Too many times doctors look at it as "The enemy" and go to extreme lengths to prevent it. We all have a limited time upon this earth and it is wise to realize that we must use this time for the betterment of ourselves and those around us. Many suffer needlessly because either they or their family refuse to admit that it is simply time to go. Make your life worthwhile and death will not be something to fear, it is the way of life and we all must, in the end, accept it.

I have learned that death can be pretty gruesome, and sometimes, just plain weird.

Mindy, I am sorry to hear that you believe that. Death is a part of life.

Once your dead, your dead ,and you will never be able to have fun and enjoy life again. Your family will greave over you,and you will never be able to enduldge in an ice cream sundae,or laugh your as$ off while hearing something funny, and you'll never go to the beach again,it just go'es on and on........
Life is only lived once......Make it last ,eat healthy, treat your self with respect, have children ,watch your children have children of their own one day......
Life is too short, humans can only live a 115 max,and for me I really wish we had more life span than that! I wish we wouldn't age untill like 80 or so... but people in these day's usually start showing signs in their 20's! I will always cherish my life and thank the lord for letting me be a mother of three beautiful little girls, and to have a husband who cares for us and loves to have me in his life! We're doing our life together, because we enjoy our life together.Death ,is something we all think about ,but I say why not spend MORE time thinking about our LIFE!

That death is the final step on this earth. Everything ends, uncertainty follows.
Death is a scary thing.
