I don't ask very many, I mostly just answer, but in my case, I am the one in my family and my life who is responsible for all the caregiving, looking after people, running the house, and generally being in charge. They don't really notice everything I do unless it isn't done. I'm not whining but when I get a Best Answer it makes me feel good that someone cares what I think and listens to my advice. It's great to be given a little credit for my experience and my knowledge, plus it's an escape for me to get away from my responsibilities for a little while.

Because people like conflict and to feel good about being right. A lot of the questions posed on this site are strictly for people to feel good about themselves or to start fights. Look in the politics section.
