You should always do your homework if you get a ticket! I barely rolled a stop sign on a very quite street in Cleveland Ohio. The officer searched my car, held me at the scene for almost 40 minutes and was a jack a$$ the whole time! This of course upset me and made me look at beating the ticket that should have taken 10 minutes to write and I would have paid it.... The law said that stop signs had to be at least 2 feet from the street and at least 7 foot to the bottom of the sign. It measured 1 feet 81/2 inches from the curb. And because of a tree that had low branches the sign was only 5 feet 10 inches to the bottom. I plead not guilty and went back to court with the pictures and proof of an illegal sign! I won my case and got to smile at mister power trip! So yes if they are illegal they are optional!

In life, yes. On the road, no. I almost got hit a few times by people running red lights and blowing thru stop signs,, but even I love a good California Roll every once in a while!

Well, at one of the traffic lights where I live (it's a 3 way stop with lights), at least half of the people go through the red, I never know what to do, sometimes people are beeping for me to go through the red, other times they wait patiently for the light to turn green, you have to see this spot to really appreciate and believe what I'm saying!

Yeah sure if there arent any other cars coming. My rule is, I ignore the stop lights put up after I started driving. I hate change, just cant adjust to recognizing them as stop lights.
Oh and a yellow light means speed up, dont forget that.

In Texarkana, they are! And annoying ones at that! We lose two or three citizens a month to T-bones at Summerhill and 7th Street!
