Everyone is right. It's about a two hour drive from Vancouver to Whistler!! Could be a little more or a little less depending on the construction on the Sea to Sky Highway. I was there about two weeks ago and it wasn't too bad!! Snow was amazing!!! Have a blast!!!!

Everybody is correct with the average of about 2 hours. I thought I'd throw in my two cents anyways:
It really depends on road conditions, construction and of course how fast you drive. I have done the drive in a little over an hour, and I have also take almost 6 hours to get there. About three weeks ago, after two feet of snow fell on Whistler, it took about 5 1/2 hours to get from downtown Vancouver to our cabin in the middle of Whistler. Also, with the expansion of the Sea-to-Sky highway for the 2010 Olympics, there are random delays when they shut down one of the lanes of the highway.
Random note: my Dad once drove from downtown Vancouver to the Whistler village in 38 minutes, in the late 80s.

With its extensive areas and fairly equable climate maintaining conditions delicate throughout the year, Vancouver is really a paradise and now, you have the chance to learn it with hotelbye . Vancouver is boasts a busy cultural life. One of the places worth visited in Vancouver is Granville Island. When largely industrial, Granville Island has become a booming centre of task with a relaxed and exclusive atmosphere. Artists and merchants have moved into turned warehouses along side houseboats, theatres, galleries, and restaurants. The Granville Island Public Market is one of typically the most popular attractions selling fresh fruit and veggies, seafood, and a good selection of different specialties along with ready-to-eat items. Maybe not really an area, the arts center is linked to residential places by one path and footbridges to the south, and to the Downtown peninsula (across Fake Creek) by ferry.
