If A is slandered by B, however A, the victim is dead. Can, and with what criteria can the relatives of A claim B legally??

Not knowing what state you're in could make a difference as each state has specific laws with specific requirements to show that a "slanderous" event has occurred.

In my own state, to convict one of "slander" or "defamation" one must have a financial loss!

Additionally, because the deceased is actually the victim and you are not....I don't think you have a law suit to pursue.

None the less...contact an attorney in your area who will be more familiar with your state legal requirements.

None that I know of...slander is a personal assault/tort. I believe can only be accounted for by offender. Because it is your word against who? Unless it is a more general area, like workplace, etc.
