I love reading about medieval times, but they were so barbaric that I'm not sure I could survive. But when I read "Timeline" by Michael Crichton, I fell in love with the idea of going back in time and becoming part of a culture I've only read about. I have it built up to be so grand in my mind though, that I believe like the character of Andre, I would never return either. I would have to say goodbye to the present..... and find my way in the past.

"...mes compaingnonscui j'amoie et cui j'aim, ... Me di, chanson"
meaning: "Companions whom I loved, and still do love,... Tell them, my song."

Late 60's early 70's. What with the drugs and all, I'm sure I had a good time. But I would kinda like to go back, just to see what it was like. Seeing as how most of it's kind of a blur.

Definitely pre-history around 20,000 B.C. I'd love to see some of the animals wandering around, and catch up with some neanderthals. I'd like to take a phrase-book though so I could understand any of their beliefs that may be still kicking around today. (I wouldn't be surprised to hear a story or two about virgin births for instance).

The late 1990's, I'd love to see Jeff Buckley in concert back when he was playing those tiny clubs in NYC.
