Neil Burgess is an actor best known for his portrayal of the character "Barry Scott" on the UK version of the television adverts for cleaning product Cillit Bang.
He has, as a result of this, developed several famous shouted catchphrases. Some of these include "Hi, Barry Scott here!", "Look what it does to this penny!" and "Bang, and the dirt is gone!" Neil has also appeared in the music video for Real To Me by Brian McFadden. He also appeared on The Bill as an axe murderer.
He reprised his Barry Scott character to advertise for EasyOff's new multipurpose Bam cleanser.
A remix of the Barry Scott television adverts was produced and posted on the internet in 2005 by JAKAZiD, sampling extensively from Barry Scott's dialogue. A commercial release of the remix was released on 22 January 2007.

Some annoyingly LOUD geezer who fronts the Cillit Bang adverts and says his name in a way to fool you that he's someone really well known and so yer should know him but as far as I know he's a nobody! He will be rememberd for all the WRONG reasons!

After reading Footynutguy's reply, I am now wondering what hideous deformity the real Barry Scott has that prevents him from advertising cleaning products....how bad does it have to be before you are considered too repulsive to advertise bleach? The mind boggles.

i hate when you might be eating while watching tele and the he starts SHOUTING and shows that dirty filthy toilet . . . i feel sick now :(
