She's clearly wasted on the first episode of American Idol this year, not to mention all the clips on YouTube of her unfortunate TV interviews.
Does anyone know what's going on or why no one has taken her in hand to sober her up a bit before putting her infront of a camera?

I think that she had no choice but to sober up... that was the talk of every show after the first show, I agree with you she doesn't seem to be AS stoned as usual . maybe she has learned to "maintain" better... either way I'M sick of her

I really don't think she's drinking. I think she's in her own little world most of the time. I like her and the facial expressions she gets when the auditioners are horrible. That and she's the only one who calls Simon an a**hole when he's being a jerk.

I think she's fine. Maybe just a little "loopy" as they say. I wish everyone would leave her alone - she's a nice person and she's doing a great job.

I don't believe she is drunk. I do believe she is just VERY strange, and she was on pain pills for a long time. Could that be it? Who knows with her!

she is hooked on pain killers, so its easy to see when she has taken a few too many.

she has to take pain killers for some illness she has, you can't believe everything you hear or see on television
