Why do people become terrorists?

If terrorists think they go to heaven ifthey die,then threatening them death would encourage them to bomb more
right?
The reason people become terrorists is because they are oppressed in their life. They feel hopeless and feel that only freedom is to die and go to heaven. So threatening to kill them would only encourage them more to bomb and kill right? Since they think they're gonna go to heaven afterwards.

Good question. You've got to understand this in their view. For instance, if you grew up in a country which totally has no war, you're not exposed to crime or death, in other words, "perfection". In comparison to someone who goes through the exact opposite of what happens to you. Over time, he will feel a sense of "unfairness" and spite towards what you have. This does not mean everyone in that area will hate you, but rather a small group who gives in to envy.

Not everyone who does "terrorism" believes they will go to "heaven" but rather, some just have views that perhaps one country is gaining an unfair advantage over their own and this become a "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" situation. In short, this is the same concept as "widening income gap", which will cause social unrest.

You have hit the nail on the head. It is proved beyond doubt that at the root of crime is the foundation laid by injustice and in majority of the cases it is social injustice, that is, poverty, deprivation, racism, groupism etc. The terrorist is a poor brainwashed person... such brainwashing becomes possible because the person is already suffering from a sense of deprivation and injustice. I personally believe that nobody would risk life to indulge in either crime or terrorism if there was equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities amongst all people.... yes, equitable rather than equal is the justice that people expect. It is inequity and injustice that produces social enemies such as criminals or terrorists.

nah, most terrorists are brainwashed as children, or in Saddam's case, he would pay people's families to have a person from the family do a suicide bomb or something before Iraq. So some might be trying to help their families in this sense

One of the reason is that they been brainwashed. They may be professionals , normal working people in the day.
They sort of live in heir own world. They have no concepts of heaven or hell. To them , they want to control the government. They feel that power is in their hands coz they can act anytime, anywhere, and people wont kow abt it.

I agree with what you say. Can you imagine the view the children of warring countries have of the world? They have grown up seeing much hatred, pain, loss. They carry this pain with them through life. So they are very angry young souls.
