try www.gardenweb.com--go to forums then to "hypertufa"
There you will learn how to make artifical leaves and
other things from hypertufa (cement and with other things added to the mixture). Items are lighter weight than cement things. Hope this helps..

Why you want to make artificial leaf? I have 12 bags of leaves just waiting for the pickup for two/three weeks now! I can let you have all of them free!

What kind?
Something that looks like a leaf?
Cut it out of thin metal - copper, aluminum, etc.
Something that models how a leaf behaves, with transpiration, etc.
Wow - fabric and plastic tubing?

Make a base out of floral wire. Cut pairs of leaf shapes from paper or fabric, glue to each side of your wire base. Paint or stain it you so desire, wrap the stem wire with floral tape.
