Vasual Basic which was in the market before the .NET boom was not based on the object oriented paradigm but with .NET the current version of VB which is called VB.net is based on a Object based methadology although I am not sure that it completely follows all the norms which are required in order for a language to qualify as being Object Oriented, remember that there is a difference b/w Object Oriented and I Object Based.

VB 6 is technically not a pure object oriented language although some of its elements strongly resemble those normally associated with object oriented languages like C++. VB.NET however is an object oriented language.

No, its an event driven programming language with an Rapid Application Development (RAD) interface.

no it is a programming language and it is not an object oriented language because vb can allow to put object on it but it is used to create programs

Yes it is. In Visual BASIC 6, it doesn't have to be, but in .NET it is.
