Questions can be asked for various reasons.
To get information
To satisfy a curiosity
To check other people's knowledge or views
To impress through clever questions
To make one's own point
To check veracity or commonality of own viewpoint.
To seek a solution to a problem
To test reactions to queer questions
Over here a lot of questions are being asked merely to pass time as well.

If people like asking questions, why make question marks so squiggly and hard to draw?
Questions are for people who want to know things like:
