dont pile the layers on too thick, its not good for your skin, just stick with foundation and a light dusting of powder.....but, some moisturisers claim to be the perfect base to apply foundation over.

Using a base makes it easier to apply your normal foundation and hides any redness, blemishes or spots you may have.
First of all exfoliate your face once or twice a week to get rid of the dead skin cells. On the other days use a face wash or a moisturising soap to stop your skin from drying out. If you have dry skin on your face the foundation will not reach its maximum potential.
Make sure you buy the correct base and foundation to match your skin tone. A good foundation will blend into your jaw line.
First of all apply a skin moisturiser as this will make it easier to rub your base foundation in. Next apply your main foundation and add a light blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Smiling when you do this will make it easier.
Hope this helps!

It's like a mositurizer, only more compatible with foundation. I use Korres Pomegranate moisturizer, for example, it's for mixed skin and what it does is, it moisturizes, but it doesn't make the skin too oily ans shiny, so it's perfect to have under foundation.
There are some moisturizers that don't work well at all with foundation, I have noticed that a few of them make the foundation look a bit "crumbly" and flaky. So you want a primer that neither makes the skin too oily, nor too flaky. It all depends on your skin type.

Primer. If you use a good one it will help keep your skin moisturized and you will actually need less foundation to get an even coverage.
Mac and an Australian company called 'Napoleon' sell it.
Apply with a foundation brush after moisturizer and before foundation or for a 'light' look you can mix a little primer with a bronzer or foundation and it will give a light coverage.

Its primer you add after you moisturize and before you put on your foundation. You can buy it at Sephora, MAC or even CVS. I found a really great primer at CVS called Lumene Face Makeup Base. Its about 10 dollars. It goes on very smooth and keeps your make up fresh and not shiny. I blotted my face about three times and there was very very little oil that was sopped up. Before primer, my face was oily in a matter of hours and enough oil was sopped on my tissue that I could fry an egg. I'm definately a fan of primer now.

Exactly what it says - a cream which acts as a base on which to put your make up on. If buying for the first time, go to a cosmetic counter in a store like Boots or Debenhams and ask the counter staff for assistance. xxx

It's like a template for foundation and supposedly makes it stay on longer and evens your skin tones. No7 do a great one.
Boots the chemis?
Hope that helps.

I don't know, you may need help from an architect or builder for that one. Could be expensive though. possibly easier to buy ready built house
