i dig a pineapple crown to propagate a pineapple plant but central leaves have fallen down.when i inspect the roots i saw new roots.then i take other leaves except two of them.now i am expecting to see a new shot from the ground.does it worth waiting?
how long should i wait for the new shot?

Central leaves? The leaves that create the "cup" in the center of the plant? If those are not healthy, afraid you lost the plant. Try another one.

Cut the top off, leave 2" of fruit, strip off 2" of lower leaves, plunk in dirt, water in the "cup" keep moist, don't let it dry out. When you see new leaves, you have roots.

Roots are a good sign. Remember you have only planted a seed and therefore the existing leafs will die off and eventually be replaced with new growth. Also be patient as I believe pineapple is a slow growing plant.
