Gov. Arnie Schwartzenegger has order flags in California to fly at half staff for a young California man killed in Iraq. Should other states join in this practice? Will it help bring our boys and girls home?

You mean they have just now started to do that in California? They have been doing it for quite a long time in Ohio and Michigan. And no, the practice really isn't going to bring them home any faster.

It has nothing to do with a soldier being killed in Iraq. In case you havent noticed-that happens several times a day now. Why would they lower it just for one?
It was lowered because of Fords death last month.

All flags were to be lowered to half staff due to our former president passing away. They are to stay lowered for 30 days after a president dies.

Some of the flags in AZ are half staff also. I don't know why your flag is half staff. I don't know where you live in CA. I don't know who has died in your area.
