Man's intellect has led to many great achievments throughout history and in modern days. We have been to the moon and we understand a great deal about the universe around us and learning more everyday but, our own intellect has also led to the inventoin of weapons of immense power capable of destroying the population of the entire planet. Frankly, I find it amazing we haven't blown ourselves up yet. Intellect has also led to the birth of religion. Religion might have been necessary in the early days of man to help us build a moral keystone for modern society but, it is also the #1 (IMO) cause of wars throughout our history. I certainly beleive that in the modern day religion is only holding back the advancement of humanity as a whole.
In short, wouldn't we all be happier swinging from trees flinging our crap at one another? I know I would.

There is no doubt that it is the intelligence that alone propelled us to the modern civillisation of today, it is definately a blessing rathan than a curse.
If we don't have any intelligence just like a bunch of monkeys swing from tree to tree by which you think they are happy, you are totally wrong. If you have watched The National Geogrophic programme and observed carefully, these bunch of stupid monkeys are always living in constant danger of being eaten by so many predators in the jungle, a daily life of day to day survival can hardly be a happy life for any animal. Your life expectancy is so short that you cannot even enjoy your marriage life if there is any. All because they do not poccess any intelligence to advance themselves to protect and prepare any means of sustaining their life.

What makes you think we wouldn't have war if we swung from the trees throwing crap? War is a natural offshoot of overpopulation and overpopulation is a offshoot of trying to ensure a higher percentage of an individuals offspring in the gene pool. Hence, this is how all SURVIVING species on earth have evolved. Even the birds and Bees do it! Intelligence is a tool good for some and wasted on others.
