I've got too much work to do. Any suggestions?

I've set myself some pretty serious Q1 targets and objectives and am concerned they're too ambitious. Any suggestions on how I can work smarter instead of harder would be appreciated.

Take each one and break it down into all the little stages (or tasks) you need to go through to achieve the overall goal. Call this your 'Project List' and do one for each target/objective. Once you have got a Project List for each target, estimate how long it would take you to do each small goal and write the time down next to it. Go to your diary or daily/ to-do list and break your day down into sections.

Then prioritising your targets, start transferring the broken down goals from each Project List into time slots. Leave some flexible time each day for if things run over/unexpected tasks. It would also be better if your daily to do list is electronic (eg in Microsoft Outlook) as there'll be days when you have to re-schedule certain tasks. Or you could write them in pencil. Can you delegate any of these smaller tasks? If so note on the Project List which task you have delegated, who to and the deadline you give them. Then keep your Project Lists so you can tick each tasks off when its completed.

do the important tasks rather than the urgent tasks
( important is to study / urgent is to pay the electricity bill)

One at a time...same as with life, one day at a time. Don't let the whole picture overwhelm you, just set a comfortable daily goal and reach it and start again tomorrow....(ever hear of "burnout"...?)
