Just hit Start-->Run and type in \\servername\share - you can get the servername and share from another person who has rights to it.

First you have share the folder you want to access from network.
Then open my network place in any computer in the same network and open the Computer in which you have the required file, then you can browse it and view it.

There are two ways for viewing the shared files:

1. Click on 'Network Neighbourhood' on the Desktop.
On the left hand side, you will see a number of shortcuts. Click on 'View Workgroup Computers' . You will now be shown all the computers that are connected to your system. Double click the name of the Computer which has the shared file. Thats it, you will see your file listed there.

2.Click Start>Run.
Now type // of the computer which has the shared file and you will have access to your file.
For ex:- \\192.168.0.100

Open your My Network Places and browse through to the required file.

Ofcourse, u need permission from the server.Otherwise you won't find the file/folder/drive.

Open my network place and open the terminal where you have the file, you can then view it.
