Well, unfortunately I would say yes we are. However, in these days the way society has changed, I think we definitely need cell phones. At first, when the picture phones came out, I thought, what will they think of next, as if we really don't need that. But, it wasn't long before I was watching the news, where a 12 year old boy was almost kidnapped while walking home from school. He kicked the guy, took his pic, and ran and called the police. The boy was safe, and the bad guy was in jail before the kid probably had his dinner. So, I think we really do need them. As far as computers, well........ now what would I do without yahoo answers............... ha ha........... ? Just kidding......... Computers are knowledge at your fingertips, and this is coming from someone who was totally computer illiterate. I'm proud to say I'm self taught. ha ha. Could I absolutely live without them for a day? Yeah, I suppose I could, the cell phone, gives me a sense of comfort zone, and the computer, well, that's just become a fear I've overcome........... but I could do without it for one day I suppose............ :)

Yes I can. I have done that before. They are not so important, except on the job, where I need to work on a comp. We should not be slaves, rather use them as tools, for information and communication.
There are many better things to do in our spare time, like reading books, working out, taking a walk in a park/forest, playing family games.
Cheers!

YEP... Been there done that. I have other things to do besides sitting on a computer or talking on a cell phone. These are tools used to improve our lives and make things easier and more productive.

Matter of factly.. I've gone weeks without being on a computer or having a cell phone..

NOW don't ask me about NOT using electricity.. OUCH!! I like my light bulbs.

Paranoid about talking on em even.. I dont do it except in emergency..

Yep, when I go away on holiday for 2 weeks I never take my phone. Nor do I have access to a computer. Turning my phone on again when I get home again is always fun. 1000's of text messages.

Sleeping for 24 hours sounds like kind of like a nice break from the busy world.

What about the Car? Its pernicious nature was brought home to me recently when, in discussing where to go for a night out, our options were limited to places where we could park the car within a minute's walking distance. So, instead of giving us freedom to explore our environment, it is in a sense constraining us.
