What makes you think that they are racists? And is this his entire family or just some of his family?

Love your guy, love his family. They are his family and have been a part of his life for way longer than you have. So you take the good with the bad. Your choice if this is acceptable to you.

The thing that you should be asking is thie relationship go to that special place,(marriage)? For one it sounds like his family needs to grow-up. There is no place here for racism in this world. My wife is Caucasian and I'm Hispanic, one of her grandfathers felt the same way about us dating. I'm happy to say that we've been happily married to four years. What we had to do was sit down and come to the understanding that we loved one another and we were going to have each other. Now her family and I get along. Hope you continue to follow your heart if you are happy with him. Best wishes
