I googled this free phone number (always a good idea) and came up with someone else on the Digital Spy forums reporting this number and as being connected with Sky TV.

I understand that some of the less scrupulous phone sales companies have a computer system that will simultaneously cold call loads of people at the same time, they have, however only a few operators, and if your lucky/unlucky enough to be in the first few to answer you will get a person on the other end, when all the operators have a person on the phone every one else gets hung up on.

That looks very much like a free phone number. Ring them back and find out.

Don't know, but 0800 is generally a freephone number, so why don't you ring it and find out. It's probably a computer
