I have found a ton of friends on myspace just by typing in their first and last name. You can also us a people search engine like yahoo or lycos type the first and last name. There are even some that gives birthdates to make it easier to find someone. Just type free people search in your search engine and you'll get a ton of sites.

I did a standard Yahoo search (name only) on a Croatian, I met 20 years ago - and found that the fellow was living in Canada. Give it a go - you've nothing to lose.

You can try searching the white pages via internet : If you know is first / last name of course.
