do you think technology in general has produced more toils than benefits, or more benefits than toils, and why?

Oh, technology is definitely an asset. I would no sooner want to do without my gas furnace, and lights at the flip of a switch, then I would want to bathe nude in the North Atlantic.

It is only when technology is used to manufacture new weapons of mass destruction, that I start to draw a very dark line in my mind.

And it is not technology that is the problem. It is the need that man has to use it for destruction, instead of the betterment of society, that is the problem.

Maybe the next technological device invented should be a machine that removes man's urge to hurt his fellow man.

The communication technology was needed to curb the ozone destroying properties of smoke signals.
The transportation technology was needed to save animals from bondage and slavery.
Medical technology was needed to cope with the human comfort zone.
Space technology is our future guarantee for the survival of power.
Technology does not guarantee answers, it only points the way to mired waters .
